EVERETT BLIX

The Blix Family became involved in the Entertainment Industry via the Studio System in the 1930's. Everett Blix Sr. worked as a Master Property Man for Twentieth Century Fox and his older brother, Vern Blix, was the head Production Grip for many years at MGM. Everett Blix entered the industry in 1982. His first job was assisting a talent agency with their submissions for principal roles. Everett switched to the casting area in 1988, working on a voluntary basis at Central Casting.

In 1991 Everett moved to the Sacramento, California area and opened up Media Casting Group. Since then, Everett has cast or assisted in casting nearly 65 motion pictures and television programs, over 400 commercials, industrials, print jobs and public service announcements. With the arrival of 2002 Media Casting Group entered the area of film production with the independent feature film, "American Grace". Since then Media Casting Group has assisted with the production of many independent film projects. 2008 has been a busy year regarding independent films with the introduction of a new Film Studio, The Sacramento Sound Stage, in Sacramento in 2005 by Deon Taylor Enterprises.

In addition to his more than 40 movie and television credits, Charlie has appeared in dozens of national and regional commercials. Charlie has also appeared in over two dozen live theatre productions. They range from wacky British farces like Ray Cooney's "Run for Your Wife" and "Chase Me Comrade," to the works of Sean O'Casey and William Saroyan.

Although he and his wife Holly now live in the Sacramento, California region, he continues his career in motion pictures and television, returning as needed to Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Charlie is also Director of Education for the Mosaic Acting Academy, where he teaches the Mosaic Acting System and his popular "Acting for Camera and Theatre Workshops" as well as training and certifying other Mosaic Acting instructors. He taught acting and directing at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco for several years, and works as a dialog and acting coach for the BBC and for films.

 

RIC RAMEY

Ric has been in the film industry for almost 30 years as an actor, teleprompter instructor, and casting associate. During his career he has worked on projects with actors such as Burt Reynolds and David Faustino, and is also co-founder of Samuel London Productions, a video production agency. After moving from his native Portland, Oregon to the Sacramento region in 2006, he joined forces with Media Casting Group in 2009.

Media Casting Group was created in 1991 and has become a significant film, television & commercial casting company.

Media Casting Group has provided Principal & Atmosphere Casting (union and non-union) services for major productions such as "Mad City", Warner Bros., "Jack Frost", Warner Bros., "Dead Man on Campus", Paramount Pictures / MTV, "Life", Universal Pictures, "The Trigger Effect", Universal-Amblin, "Phenomenon", Disney, and "Mousehunt", Dreamworks. Films for television include "Ruby Ridge, The Randy Weaver Story", CBS mini-series, and six Movies of the Week for CBS and NBC. Media Casting Group has cast for independent films, commercials, industrials, print work & PSAs. Media Casting Group has also provided talent for agencies of the State of California such as the Department of Justice and the California Student Aid Commission.
